RCMP investigating Revelstoke Golf Club vandalism

The Revelstoke RCMP are investigating an act of vandalism at the Revelstoke Golf Club after several golf carts were smashed up early Monday morning.

RCMP were called to the golf course at around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 7, when several golf carts were found vandalized. They had their windshields kicked out and seats torn off and thrown onto a nearby roof top.

As well, sand had been poured into some of the golf carts' fuel tanks. The damage is estimated at more than $5,000.

Surveillance footage shows the incident took place between midnight and 2 a.m. on July 7. Police seized various items for forensic examination and continue to investigate the incident.

The RCMP is asking anyone with information about the incident to call them at 250-837-5255, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
