Snowfall prompts cancellation of Area B zoning open houses

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District has cancelled two open houses on a new Area B zoning bylaw that were scheduled for Thursday.

Jan Thingsted, a planner with the regional district, said that the meetings set for Thursday, Feb. 13, in Trout Lake and Revelstoke have been cancelled until further notice.

They were being held to allow the public to provide input into the new zoning bylaw, which was amended before it was adopted to incorporate climate change goals.

The meetings will be re-scheduled for some time in early March.
