RCMP rescind alert for missing woman

Revelstoke RCMP issued and then soon rescinded a missing person alert on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 21.

In the Jan. 21 media alert, police said a 54-year-old Revelstoke woman had been reported missing on Jan. 19.

When contacted soon after the media alert was distributed, an RCMP spokesperson said the woman had been located and there was no cause for concern.

The individual engages in empty container recycling, and was missing temporarily.
