Brief: Trans-Canada closed east of Revelstoke
DriveBC is reporting that the Trans-Canada Highway is closed between Revelstoke and Golden due to an MVI that has blocked the highway. That incident is reported to be 50 kilometres west of Golden.
Revelstoke-based emergency responders have been busy Sunday dealing with several MVIs on the route, which has been buffeted by snow at higher elevations.
The Rogers Pass highway camera shows winter snow conditions.
Revelstoke RCMP radio talk has noted "atrocious" conditions on the highway, calling for more highway maintenance equipment and personnel to deal with the stormy weather.
