Hefty bill a surprise

The Revelstoke Forest Workers Society has asked City Council to waive a bill for $960 it received for the use of tables and chairs during Timber Days.

“In 2005, the most recent year we hosted a two-day event the bill for this use was $119.36, which was within out budget,” said Timber Days organizer Cindy Pearce.

Council referred the request to the Finance Committee.
