Anti-idling methods vary
Businesses wanting to reduce the amount of time their vehicles spend idling now have a variety of ways to do so.:
• Programmable idle shut-downs are available. A vehicle can be programmed to shut down after a set amount of time (usually three to 60 minutes)
• Idle control systems which stop and start the vehicle without requiring the drivers attendance
• Electronic driver reward systems. Drivers are rewarded for good behaviour with more speed or more horse power.
