Scenes from the CP Holiday Train

Hundreds of children and adults turned out as the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train rolled into Revelstoke Tuesday afternoon.

The train showed up around 3:30 – late as usual – and was greeted by dozens of children, who waved at the passengers who were lucky enough to ride along.

After a short song, Mayor David Raven addressed the crowd. Then, CP presented a cheque worth $4,000 to the Community Connections Food Bank.

Afterwards, folk singer Valdy took the stage to entertain the crowd. He was joined by his band, singer Tracey Brown and, for the finale, Santa Claus.
